Miniatures Collection Red and Blue Chair Miniature Gerrit Rietveld 1917
The iconic Red and Blue Chair in miniature form!
Gerrit Rietveld designed the original chair in 1917, and it was later painted in its characteristic colors, inspired by the De Stijl movement and the art of Piet Mondrian. With its simple geometric construction of painted wooden slats and planes in red and blue, the chair became one of the most important works of modernist furniture design.
Today, the Red and Blue Chair is one of the most recognized examples of early 20th-century avant-garde design and is represented in museums worldwide.
